Int’l Canyon Rendezvous 2011 to be held in Nepal

International Canyon Rendezvous 2011 (ICR-2011) is all set to be held for the first time in Nepal from April 7 to 13. This is also the first time such an event is being held in Asia.
Coinciding with Nepal Tourism Year 2011 (NTY-2011), a national campaign of Nepal, Nepal Canyoning Association (NCA) is going to organise the event in Syange, Marsyangdi valley en route the world famous Annapurna circuit trekking in Lamjung district.
The rendezvous program will be supported by many partner organizations including Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) and also Himalayan Canyon Team (HCT) among others.More than 200 professional canyoneers from various countries from Europe, North America among others will be participating in the event, according to organizers.
NCA has also started registration for ICR-2011 and registration fee is set at 47 euros per person.
