Namaste, I am Furba Sherpa, Managing Director of Sherpa Brothers Treks and Expedition Pvt. Ltd., with over 22 years of experience in Nepal's tourism industry. My journey in tourism began in 2004, right after completing high school, when I started working as an assistant trekking guide. In 2006, I received formal training and became a licensed trekking guide, leading groups through various trekking regions of the Nepalese Himalaya. Over the years, my passion and dedication led me to acquire a mountain guide license in 2009 and a city guide license in 2012. Currently, I am proud to lead Sherpa Brothers Treks and Expedition as Managing Director.
Throughout these two decades, I have had the privilege of working with people from all over the world, deepening my understanding of Nepal’s mountains, diverse cultures, and rich heritage. This journey continues to inspire me and reinforces my lifelong commitment to the tourism sector.
At Sherpa Brothers, we are deeply committed to sustainable and responsible tourism. We design our trips with the goal of giving back to the community while preserving the natural environment, cultural values, and heritage of Nepal. From promoting the use of reusable materials to minimizing our environmental impact, we ensure every holiday we offer is respectful of the local way of life.
In addition to leading my company, I have also been actively involved with various tourism-related organizations. Academically, I hold a Master’s degree in Business Studies from Shanker Dev Campus, Kathmandu.
