To whom it may concern:

It gives me great pleasure to write this letter of commendation for Sherpa Brothers Treks and Expedition Pvt. Ltd. it was with some trepidation that we placed out business with Mr. Tenji Sherpa’s company as ours was a large and complicated expedition and on our previous expeditions we had only dealt with the major Kathmandu trekking companies. My fears however, were completely unfounded as the service provided by Sherpa Brothers Treks and Expedition Pvt. Ltd. easily surpassed the service previously received from Thamserku Trekking and Himalayan Expeditions.

Ours was a complex expedition to the remote Hongu valley involving some 57 members and 1,000kg of delicate and expensive research equipment. We were on trek for 5weeks and many of us climbed Mera peak as well as an elaborate programmed of high altitude medical research at chamlang’s northern base camp (5000m).The approach was by air to Tumlingtar and then a lengthy trek through Maosist controlled country to the Mera la at 5,4000 meters before descending to our research camp. Half of the expedition exited by the technically challenging Mingbo La and Amphu Lapcha passes into the Khumbu. The whole expedition flew back to Kathmandu from Lukla.

In the run up to the expedition we agreed a firm and binding contact. This was made easy by Tenji’s use of email. He reacted promptly toy our queries and the contract, once agreed, was fully implemented and honored. In the agreement we include an environmental code and a porter welfare agreement. Sherpa Brothers Treks and Expedition Pvt. Ltd. made every effort to achieve these strict standards.

Tenji was responsible for clearing all of our equipments through customs and he achieved this with apparent ease. He arrange storage of this equipments and its flight by helicopter to our base camp,. All of this went without a hitch despotic a national strike. He also arranged without difficult all necessary radio and satellite permits.
Given that we were undertaking a long and arduous trek it was essential that our sirdars, Shepra guides, climbing Sherpa and cooks were of the highest quality. Many of our members were very experienced. Indeed, for one member this was his 13th expedition to Nepal. Without exception all of our members reported that their Sherpa crews ere the best that they had encountered. Sherpa brothers Treks and Expedition Pvt. Ltd must be congratulated for securing the services or such a talented tem.

The remoteness of our route meant that provisioning and re-supply had to be meticulously planned. This, again, was effortlessly achieved. Food throughout the expedition was both abundant and of the highest quality. Members with special dietary needs were very well catered for. Thirty five our members summated Mara (6400m) and once again the logistics of the ascents were flawless.

At the end of the expedition we encountered no difficulties in agreeing the final bill. Tenji proved totally honest and reliable in all his business dealings and the whole expedition came back with in budget.

Medex has now organized 3 major multifaceted trekking mountaineering and research expedition and has acquired a good appreciation of the services that can be expected of a trekking agent. The services from Sherpa Brother Treks and Expedition (P) Ltd, was excellent and were have already asked Tenji to help us plan our next expedition west Nepal. I have no doubt that we will, once again, receive excellent care.

Dear Tenji,

It is with pleasure that I write an open letter of recommendation for Sherpa Brothers Treks and Expedition Pvt. Ltd, following our fantastic experience in Nepal this October. Having been recommended your company by a previous client, you ere friendly, enthusiastic and incredible professional and organized a successful trek from Lukla to Gokyo Lakes. Despite a backlog of flights, we left on time and returned to Kathmandu 12 days later having enjoyed fantastic hospitality and wonderful views of Everest and the surrounding Himalaya. Our guide Furba Sherpa was a gentle , considerate host and ensured a seamless journey from lodge to lodge. Mention should also be made of him rescuing a porter suffering from High Altitude Pulmonary Oedema above Machermo, and thus likely saving his life

We wholeheartedly recommend you to future trekkers and count you amongst the many friends that we made in Nepal.

"Sherpa Brothers provided a superb trekking + cultural experience for myself
+ my 18 year old son - I asked to trek at a lower altitude - but we still climbed to 4000m; we were extremely well looked after - the guiding was excellent + provided many insights into Nepal - but particularly into both the Sherpa community + Buddhism - including a memorable visit to a monastery. The trek itself took us through a much less traveled part of the Everest region + on most days we saw few other Westerners; the cooking needs a mention as it far exceeded our expectations + great care was taken to ensure we did not risk contaminated water - neither of us had any health problems throughout the trip. I would recommend the company without any reservations"
