The old Pokhara-Trisuli trail is little trekked now that it's been superseded by the Prithvi Highway , and thats its chief recommendation. A gentle low-altitude trek, it wanders though typical hill country and dozens of laid-back ethnic villages, with Annapurna , Manaslu and Ganesh Himal popping up often enough to keep thing ticking over scenically. This trek is snow-free all year, making it a good choice for winter. This trek can be done in six days, but allow eight or ten. Many trekkers start or finish at Gorkha, the midway point, for an easy outing of four to five days. There are any number of ways to get started from Pokhara. You can drive to Sisuwa( Begnas Tal) and take any trail heading east and north towards Besisahar on the Annapurna Circuits-but it is better to go by way of Ghanpokhara, a lovely Gurung village- finally reaching Gorkha in a minimum of three days( five via Ghanpokhara ). From there its another four days or so of undulating between subtropical valleys and scenic ridges to Trisuli, which is linked by road with Kathmandu . Trekking duration: 19 nights 20 days
