The trailhead of this trek is Taplejung and the trek takes 15 days, 22days or 25 days. Most of the later stage of the walk is over 3,000m and it goes as high as 4,580m at the base camp All equipment and provisions must be taken. Nothing can be bought along the way. Supplies at the trailhead are likely to be limited. Only organised and escorted groups can make this trek. The best trekking seasons are March-April and October- November. Tucked into the northeastern corner of Nepal, the area has a very high concentration of high peaks but is dwarfed by Kangchenjunga (8,586m) There are fine views as you ascend first over the Dhupi La and then through Tserem to Ramje (4,580m).The Yalung Glacier gives an added dimension. There are two main trails from Taplejung: one follows the Tamur Khola (river) and continues around to the north of Kagchenjunga, while the other runs roughly parallel to the south ending at Kangchenjunga Base Camp.
