The combined of Peekay peak & Dudhkunda is called, Peaky Dudhkunta trek. Peakay Peak 4071 m and Dudhkunda (milk lake) both lies in south west of Khumbu valley. The towering Peekay peak is not always covering by snow except in the winter. The peak is just lies above the surrounded villages of Sherpa’s and offers splendid Panoram of Khumbu, Makalu and Gaurishangker mountain range. Like wise Dudhkunda which literally mean “Milk Lake” is believed a holy lake and adobe of Lord Shiva. The devotees believe that taking a dip into the icy cold lake will absolve them from all their sins and bless childless families with children. Both Hindu and Buddhists people go there in full moon day between June and July.
Trekking in this region is not just about view but also the opportunities of learning cultural life of ethnic communities, like Magar, Tamang and Sherpas. The culture of these communities rewards the trip more interesting. Peekay peak, Nyawar monastery, Tibetan reincarnated lama’s Thuptenchholing monastery and Dudhukunda lake are another attractions of the trail.
This trek can begins either flight to Phaplu or drive to Phuplu or Shivalaya, The total length of trek is about 13 days either way we started.
This trek is suitable to average physically fit traveler passionate to walking 4 to 5 hrs daily and looking less altitude with finest view and culture.

Day 1 Arrival at Tribhuvan International airport Kathmandu. Pick up by Sherpa Brothers Treks representative, transfer to hotel check in and welcome drink from receptionist. Rest and briefing about trip, O/N in hotel
Day 2 Half day sightseeing around world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley and preparation for the trip. In the evening welcome dinner offer from Sherpa Brothers Treks at typical Nepalese culturall restaurant, O/N in hotel with bed and breakfast
Day 3 Drive to Shivalaya (1960m /6429ft), O/N in tent: Approx 7 hours
Day 4 Trek to Bhandar [2190m / 7183ft], O/N in tent: Approx 5 hours

Day 16 Fly to Kathmandu for 3o minutes, rest, free time and last minute shopping, O/N in hotel with bed and breakfast
Day 17 As per flight time pick up from hotel and drop 3 hour earlier to international airport for home departure
The trail merges mild to partial physical demand ranking of usual 6-7 hours walking every day. Though, participants looking forward to attempt and planning to do this trip to be physically fit, positive attitude & an excellent health is recommended. The trip is also very great choice for planning first time trekking and hiking experience in the Himalaya attempting to do family holiday, solo to group trip. It is vital that participants with pre-existing medical problems or conditions make these known to Sherpa Brothers Trek at the time of booking.

In addition, we have vast experience of trekking at altitude and are trained to deal with Acute Altitude Sickness. However, due to terrain, weather and altitude, risk is not always predictable in the Himalaya. To ensure you have a worry free time with us, personal travel insurance is essential to cover the cost of unforeseen accident, illness or rescue. The costs involved can be large and personally overwhelming in the unlikely event of accident or injury.
All Nepalese staff, guides and porters employed by Sherpa Brothers Treks and Expedition Pvt. Ltd. are covered locally but we regret that we cannot offer insurance for our clients.
