Tsum valley lies on the route of a sacred Himalayan pilgrimage valley in northern Gorkha district. The Tibetan Buddist influence in the valley is strong and offers a quite different experience to many other areas of Nepal. Tsum comes from the Tibetan word “Tsombo” which means vivid. This holy hidden place is the valley of happiness first described by Guru Rimpoche (Padmashamvaba) in the eight century.
This part of the inner Himalaya is extremely rich in cultural assets, Buddhist monasteries, ancient walls and. The Tibetan style hospitality and life style welcomes you with traditional Tibetan Chiya (butter tea) and a local meal. The people in this valley never kill animals, even as sacrifice to the gods. The valley is surrounded by Buddha himal and Himal chuli to the west, Ganesh himal to the south and Sringi Himal to the north.
The trail heads up the valley of the Budi Gandaki River through wild and unexplored country inhabited mainly by members of the Gurung ethnic community, from Arughat, Machhakhola Jagat and Philim.
This trek is suited to people with a high level of fitness and a keen interest in remote adventure.

Day 1 Arrival at Tribhuvan International airport Kathmandu. Pick up by Sherpa Brothers treks representative, transfer to hotel check in and welcome drink from receptionist. Rest and briefing about trip, O/N in hotel with bed and breakfast
Day 2 Half day sightseeing around world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley and preparation for the trip. In the evening welcome dinner offer from Sherpa Brothers treks at typical Nepalese cultural restaurant, O/N in hotel with bed and breakfast
Day 3 Drive Kathmandu to Arughat [608m / 1995 ft], O/N in tea house : Approx 7 hours
Day 4 Trek to Lapubesi [884 m / 2900 ft], O/N in tea house : Approx 6 hours
Day 5 Trek to Khorlabesi [970m / 3182ft], O/N in tea house : Approx 5 - 6 hrs
Day 6 Trek to Jagat [1340m / 4625 4395ft], O/N in tea house : Approx 5 - 6 hours
Day 7 Trek to Lokpa [2240m / 7350ft], O/N in tea house : Approx 5 hours

Day 19 As per flight time, pick up from hotel and drop 3 hour earlier to international airport for home departure
This trail mingle mild ranking of usual 6-7 hours walking every day. The trail up to this position demands less amount of physical pace being highest point 3,709 m. However, physically fit, positive attitude & an excellent health are key factor to make the trip amazing and success. The trip is also worth for planning soft first time trekking and hiking experience in the Himalaya attempting to do family holiday, solo to group trip . It is vital that participants with pre-existing medical problems or conditions make these known to Sherpa Brothers Trek at the time of booking.
Accommodation and Food on Trip
4 nights in 3 star hotels with Deluxe BB in Kathmandu, 12 days standard twin sharing tea accommodation and food during the trip. This trek has recently been opened for foreigner, tea house accommodation and food is not much facilitated like Annapurna and Everest region but truly typical style.
Maximum 10 people can go in a group for the tea house trek and beyond 5 will tented accommodation.
Travel Insurance

All our routes are scouted to ensure the trails are safe and the facilities along route are of an acceptable standard. In addition, we have vast experience of trekking at altitude and are trained to deal with Acute Altitude Sickness. However, due to terrain, weather and altitude, risk is not always predictable in the Himalaya. To ensure you have a worry free time with us, personal travel insurance is essential to cover the cost of unforeseen accident, illness or rescue. The costs involved can be large and personally overwhelming in the unlikely event of accident or injury.
All Nepalese staff, guides and porters employed by Sherpa Brothers Pvt. Ltd. are covered locally but we regret that we cannot offer insurance for our clients.
