Annapurna Circuit Trek

Annapurna circuit trek is a classic trek lies in mid west Nepal in Annapurna conservation region. It was first introduced to the foreigner in 1977. Annapurna means Hindu goddess of nourishment, Anna means food” or grains and purna means full, complete and perfect. She is an avatar ( form) of Pravati the wife of god Shiva. It is believed that Mount Annapurna in the Himalayas is named after the deity as she believed to be one of the doughtier of Himvat, the king of the mountains.

Annapurna circuit trail is a combined of culture and adventure, it actually starts at 760 m altitude and goes the highest 5416 m. The culture, people and foods items in between low to high altitude is fascinating. The whole trail is attached by naturally gorgeous fertile valley, dominant rich culture of ethnic community. Every walking day’s distance makes the trip interesting and different as we observe the outstanding Himalayan outlook.

The dramatic, Manang and Muktinath Valley, Challenging Throng pass ( 5416 m) splendid Himalayan outlook of Annapurna mountain range, rich ethnic culture and life style welcomes the trekkers in Annapurna circuit trail. Annapurna circuit treks starts from prominent local city of Lamjung district Beshishar. The trail continuously heads the bank of Marshyandi river by passing beautiful fertile land, ethnic villages and truly dramatic landscape towards the district headquarter of Manang Chame. A day acclitimazation hike to Gangapurna lake in classic Manang Valley gives an opportunity to observe the towaring panorama of Aannapurna mountain range and Himalayan culture. As soon as crossing the challenging Throng pass (5416m) the trail heads down to Mustang valley towards Muktinath well known Hindu and Buddist temple. The view of Mustang is unexpected and truly un math landscape. The trip can finished at Jomsom a day walk from Muktinath or can continuously trek down to the Kaligandaki gorge ( the deepest gorge in the world) and Tatopani (hot spring). The panoramic view point Poon hill is an another prime attractions of Annapurna circuit and the final a day walk from Poon hill finished the trip at Birethaity and drive back to the Lake city Pokhara.

Itinerary

  • Day 01 Arrival at Tribhuvan International airport Kathmandu. Pick up by Sherpa Brothers treks representative, transfer to hotel check in and welcome drink from receptionist. Rest and briefing about trip, O/N in hotel with bed and breakfast
  • Day 02 Half day sightseeing around  world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley and preparation for the trip. In the evening welcome dinner offer from Sherpa Brothers treks at typical  Nepalese cultural restaurant, O/N in hotel with bed and breakfast
  • Day 03 After having breakfast, drive 8 hrs to Bhulbhule [840m / 2756 ft], O/N in tea house : Approx 7 hours
  • Day 04 Trek to Jagat [1,300m / 4,265ft], O/N in tea house : Approx 7 hours
  • Day 05 Trek to Dharapani [1860m / 6103 ft], O/N in tea house : Approx 7 hours
  • Day 06 Trek to Chame [2660m / 8728ft], O/N in tea house : Approx 7 hrs
  • Day 07 Trek to Pisang [3300m / 10828ft], O/N in tea house : Approx 7 hours

  • Day 14 After having early morning breakfast 25 minute scenic mountain flight to Pokhara, O/N in hotel with bed and breakfast
  • Day 15 Fly / drive back to Kathmandu rest, free time and last minute shopping in Kathmandu, O/N in hotel with bed and breakfast
  • Day 16 As per flight time, pick up from hotel and drop 3 hour earlier to international airport for home departure

Physical Grading Level

Three circles is  the Challenging grade trek. It usually requires 5- 6 hours walk Every day  and the highest level of the trail is 5416 m. Some part of high altitude walking  is  challenging but  two weeks  gradually walking from low to high land gives genuine   sense of achievements.  The participant require to be physically fit, positive attitude and obviously in good health.. Regular exercise or jogging couple of months prior to the trip is essential. It is important that participants with per-existing health check problems or conditions should make these known to us at the time of booking.

Accommodation and Food on Trip

3 nights in 3 star hotel with Deluxe BB in Kathmandu, 1 night deluxe BB in Pokhara and 12 days comfortable twin sharing accommodations in tea house (trekking guest house) and meals on full board. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and tea/ coffee)

All Nepalese staff, guides and porters employed by Sherpa Brothers Pvt. Ltd. are covered locally but we regret that we cannot offer insurance for our clients.
