Labuche East Peak Trekking & Climbing

Lobuche East Peak is located in the Mount Everest region and stands at 6119m. The dark triangle of its rocky East face rises over the moraines of the Khumbu Glacier to form a spectacular skyline. It was first climbed relatively recently, in 1984. The summit offers stunning views of Mt Everest, Amadablang, Cholatse, Kangtega and a 360 degree panorama of the surrounding peaks.

The Lobuche peak climbing itinerary is designed with a side visit to Everest base camp and Kalapathar as part of our acclimatisation. The trip begins after taking a 30 minutes Scenic Mountain flight from Kathmandu to the famous Lukla Tenzing Hillary airport, gateway to the Everest expedition trail. The route takes in Sagarmatha National Park, the impressive Dudh koshi River and various Sherpa settlements, including Namche Bazaar, the trading centre for the Khumbu region. (Please see the Everest Base camp Itinerary for more details)

The approach to the Louche East peak itself is challenging and demands a high degree of physical fitness. It is suited to experienced trekkers with a real passion for challenging adventure.

As with all our treks, we can be flexible with the itinerary and can adjust many details according to your time, availability and special interests
