Lobuche East Peak Trekking & Climbing is a challenging and exhilarating mountaineering adventure that takes climbers to the summit of Lobuche East, one of the most iconic peaks in the Everest region of Nepal. This challenging climb offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Himalayan mountains and allows climbers to experience the thrill of conquering a 6,119-meter peak. With proper acclimatization and the guidance of experienced Sherpa guides, climbers can safely navigate through steep slopes, icy ridges, and rocky terrain to reach the summit successfully. This journey includes both the ascent and the side walk to Everest Base Camp for proper acclimatization.
This expedition requires technical climbing skills and physical strength, making it suitable for experienced climbers seeking a thrilling and rewarding experience in the heart of the world’s highest mountain range. Additionally, it also offers a chance to immerse oneself in stunning natural landscapes. Updated flight operation from Ramechhap, Manthali Airport to Lukla

Owing to the heavy volume of both local and international flights at Kathmandu Airport. Flying delay in order to avoid air traffic. All flights to the Everest region Lukla during the main trekking season (October to December, March to May) now originate from Ramechhap Manthali airport, which is situated 130 km (approximately 5.5 hours) east of Kathmandu. One day in advance, we transport all of our trekkers with guides to Ramechhap Manthali; those flying to Lukla airport for the Everest region trek.


Day 1 : Arrival at Tribhuvan International airport in Kathmandu. Pick up by Sherpa Brothers Treks representative, transfer to hotel check in and welcome drink from receptionist. Rest and briefing about trip. In the evening welcome dinner offer from Sherpa Brothers Treks at Typical Nepalese cultural restaurant, O/N in hotel with bed & breakfast

Day 2 : After breakfast trip preparation and shopping for the trip. Same day drive to Manthali Ramechhap (540m /1772ft), O/N in lodge with bed & breakfast

Day 3 : Morning scenic mountain flight to Lukla (2,840m / 9,318ft) and trek to Phakding, O/N in tea house : Approx 3.5 hours

Day 4 : Trek to Sherpa capital Namche Bazaar (3,446m / 11,306ft), O/N in tea house : Approx 6 hours

Day 5 : Rest day in Namche Bazaar. Hike to the world highest point hotel Everest view hotel for acclimatization, O/N in tea house : Approx 3.5 hours

Day 6 : Trek to Tyangbuche (3,867m / 12,687ft), One of the prominent monastery in the Everest area, O/N in tea house : Approx 6 hours

Day 7 : Trek to Dingbuche (4100m / 13,451ft), O/N in tea house : Approx 4.5 hours

Day 8 : Rest hiking day in Dingbuche, for acclimatization, O/N in tea house : Approx 4.5 hours

Day 9 : Trek to Labuche (4,930m / 16,175ft), O/N in tea house : Approx 5 hours

Day 10 : Trek to Gorakshep [5,160m/16,929ft) and same day hike to the base camp of world highest Peak Mt Everest (5,316m / 17,437ft) back to Gorakshep O/N in tea house : Approx 7 hours

Day 11 : Before sunrise hike to Kalapather for sun rise view (the highest point of the trip) Kalapathar (5,550m / 18,204ft) and trek back to Lobuche (49,10 m, / 13910 ft), O/N in tea house : Approx 5 hours

Day 12 : Lobuche to Lobuche East High Camp (5,800m): Approx 3 hours

Day 13 : Lobuche East Peak Summit (6,119m) day

Day 14 : High Camp to Pangboche: Approx 5 hours

Day 15 : Pangboche to Namche (3,440m): Approx 6 hours

Day 16 : Namche to Lukla (2,860m): Approx 7 hours

Day 17 : After having early morning breakfast, flight to Kathmandu. Rest, free time and last minute shopping in Kathmandu, O/N in hotel with bed & breakfast

Day 18 : As per flight time, pick up from hotel and drop 3 hour earlier to international airport for home departure

Additional Information

Lobuche East Peak Trekking & climbing, this journey includes adventure and calls for more physical effort. Summit to the peak, 6,119 m, is the most challenging parts of this journey. Physical fitness, experience trekking at altitudes of at least 4000 to 4500 meters, and a fundamental knowledge of climbing techniques are requirements for climbing this peak. At the time of registration, participants must disclose any existing medical conditions or issues.

Accommodation and Food

In Kathmandu: 3 star Deluxe hotel with bed and breakfast on twin sharing.

On trek: standard twin sharing accommodation in tea house (trekking guest house) with 3 meals daily, (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Tea/ Coffee) as per the itinerary. The tea houses along the trekking route provide basic but comfortable accommodations, with twin sharing rooms available. These tea houses also offer a variety of delicious home cooked meals to keep you energized throughout the day, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Additionally, you can enjoy hot drinks such as tea or coffee to warm up after a long day of trekking.

During Climbing period : well standard camping accommodation and food on full board basis at High camp.

Travel insurance

All our routes are scouted to ensure the trails are safe and the facilities along route are of an acceptable standard. In addition, we have vast experience of trekking at altitude and are trained to deal with Acute Altitude Sickness. However, due to terrain, weather and altitude, risk is not always predictable in the Himalaya. To ensure you have a worry free time with us, personal travel insurance is essential to cover the cost of unforeseen accident, illness or rescue. The costs involved can be large and personally overwhelming in the unlikely event of accident or injury.
All Nepalese staff, guides and porters employed by Sherpa Brothers Pvt. Ltd. are insured locally but we regret that we cannot offer insurance for our clients.

When choosing an insurance policy be sure to confirm with your insurer that your policy covers adventure holidays and trekking at high altitude. Some insurers makes special exception for these types of trip so please read the small print and contact your insurer if you are unsure.

While the best times to go Lobuche East Peak Climbing and trekking are in the spring (March – May) and autumn (October – Mid December)

What aircraft can I travel in, and how much weight is allowed ?

The aircraft that is being flown to Luka airport is a Twin Otter and Dornier with twin engine, and it can accommodate up to 18 passengers including crew members. Your passenger ticket to Lukla has a maximum weight limit of 15 kg. Ten kilograms of checked baggage and five kilograms of hand luggage are permitted. If you have and need to weigh more than the amounts mentioned above, an additional $12 kg will be charged

Reservation cancellations policy

There will be no fees associated with cancellations made more than 45 days prior to departure.
A penalty of 30% of the total trip cost will apply for cancellations made between 30 and 44 days prior to departure.
60% of the total trip cost will be lost for cancellations made between 15 and 29 days prior to departure.
If a cancellation is made 14 days prior to departure, there will be no reimbursement.
